Programmer / Analyst FT (Bethesda, MD)
AQUAS, Incorporated is looking for a focused, organized individual with proven skills in software and web application design and development who is a master at VB.Net programming and SQL Server 2005 reporting services.
Primary responsibilities:
* Web-based software application creation, from analysis, design
and development through testing and implementation
* Improve functionality and maintain existing applications
* Database design and administration
Requirements:
* Deep understanding of and at least three (3) years professional
experience with:
- VB.Net, ASP.Net and C# programming
- SQL Server 2005 and Reporting Services
- Oracle DBA
- ColdFusion
- MS Access
* An organized multitasker with ability to adapt to changing priorities
* Excellent communication skills
* US Citizen or Permanent Resident status
Other desired skills:
* Deep understanding of and professional experience with Java,
J2EE and/or JSP
* Coding web applications that are compliant with Section 508 standards
* A team player who writes concise, relevant code comments as you work
* Security clearance
Icing on the cake:
* Cross-browser development and browser degradation strategies
* JavaScript literacy and ability to navigate JavaScript code
* Usability / user testing
* Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or
related field
